Cost
Be aware that some sports incur a cost. Payment for sport must be paid to the front office within the first 2 weeks of the commencement of each sport cycle. It is advised not to select a sport incurring costs if financial difficulties exist.
This payment will cover travel to the annual School carnivals (Swimming, cross country and athletics)
Sport rules:
On sports days students are to meet at the designated time and venue/room at school for roll mark. Students who are required to travel to a venue outside the school will walk to the bus bay with their sports teachers and line up at the appropriate bus. At the conclusion of sport students with parental permission may be dismissed from the venue. Those without permission must catch the bus back to school with their teacher.
At Venues Students are not to commence any activity or use any equipment until instructed by teacher/s or instructor. It is compulsory for all students in Years 9 - 10 to comply with school sports uniform requirements and wear their full sports uniform on Thursday with enclosed running / athletic shoes to school.
Travel
Students are expected to behave safely and follow teacher's directions when moving to sport, and whilst at sport and while travelling on the bus.
Wet weather
In the event of wet weather, alternative activities may be arranged or classrooms may be used for some sports. Listen to daily notices or sport teacher for instructions.
Medical Insurance
I understand that my child will receive medical treatment in the case of an emergency. Although the Department of Education covers ambulance costs in NSW, it does not cover the cost of medical expenses incurred as a result of an accident or injury. Private Health Cover is recommended
Information
Sports will only operate if sufficient student numbers (minimum 20-25) enrol into the activity.
Students who do not sign up for a sport will be placed in a sport at school. If they wish to join a travelling sport they must see Ms Deery or Mr Reeves with their signed permission note and amount paid at the office. (Sport availability will be subject to student numbers)
Sports uniform
Male
- Navy blue sports shorts or navy blue track pants
- Sports polo shirt
- Fully enclosed sport shoes with adequate ankle support in any colour. These do not need to be fully leather
- Plain white or black socks.
Female
- Navy blue sports or navy blue track pants
- Sports polo shirt
